The semester is going fantastic. The students are really enjoying the process of filmmaking, using green screen, sound design, and of course good story telling.

This is the SVHS Media Arts program's eleventh year. We would like to thank the community for their continued support. Without you these teens would be hard struck to find a way to unleash their creative potential in a supportive, well facilitated environment.

All of our team's broadcasts will be televised to the high school on Fridays during the A+ period. Our partnership with SVTV 27 means that the community will also be able to enjoy the youth's work as well. You can catch our video production spotlight every Tuesday from 5:30-6:00PM. This time slot may also be filled with additional content from our archieve which may include previous broadcasts or student works program films. Support our youth and tune in! You're guaranteed to be pleasantly surprised.

Green Screen Projects

The ever-popular Green Screen Video Project is complete. Two samples are posted with more to come.
Look out George Lucas. Now, with all the video and editing skills needed, all classes begin my personal favorite class segment - STORYTELLING! Scripts, Storyboards, Story Structure and making movies. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, check out the "Film Festival" posts above.

Special Thanks to Matthew Compton Clark, a 2009 Graduate of the Media Studies program, who now runs "Open Egg Productions" for designing this impressive new "Media Arts Program " Web Site. Matt is known throughout Sonoma County for his innovative approaches in media and ability to bring fresh, cutting edge design in both web, video and the social media arena. Thanks to the Sonoma International Film Festival, and the Boosters, for making this site, and our current year at SVHS possible.

Congratulations to our own Dragon Studios News Anchor, Jersey Witous. Sonoma’s star setter was named one of the league’s three most valuable players in an important SCL victory over Analy. Tune in Monday for a special broadcast highlighting Boys Soccer and Lady Dragons Achievements in Dragon Sports.
